early morning,not quite...

It's 4.21 AM and I've just got back from Dadar station,I'd gone to drop my buddy..he's travelling to Goa,he has no ticket, not a lot of cash and no set plan about where and how he's gonna stay,in fact this plan was made and finalised in the last 12 hours...he's not just travelling,he's undertaking a journey to a more peaceful place, within him and that brings me to my topic,WHAT is peace? and WHAT makes us feel the need to find it when we've lived without wondering about it for so long?

like Bhagat Singh said it "it takes a blast to make deaf people listen",even though he said it in a totally different context, the words still hold true,we all need a wake up call every now and then and sometimes the call is rude...my buddy's call was a result of a coward quitting on him,on what they had built together.....My wake up call was a terrible performance in an important exam, followed by denial for admission into a prestigious college, followed by an indifference of emotions where there had been a rock solid "trust",of which the 't' withered away leaving just 'rust'....i know someone who woke up only after his father passed away,he's successful today but something's missing and always will be...i know a lady who woke up the day youngest child cooked food on his own.....i know a nation who woke up after watching 'RDB' but alas, this one was temporary, like many others.....every now and then we awaken and then realising the casuality of our exsistence we set out to find that elusive 'Peace of mind'......some work harder towards dreams ,some quit it all together , some blow it up in smoke ,some try to find it at the bottom of a bottle ,some work towards revenge ,some simply forgive and forget ,some just pack their bags to become journeymen ,some consolidate their foothold in their roots ,some drown out the noise and some drown in it BUT they all awaken,at different levels but they all do...the deaf listen a litte and the blind squint in an effort to see something,anything.....and that's how the wheels of life are set in motion, rotation after rotation.

I think it's not because of this mundaneness that we forget to ask ourselves what is peace. i think we don't ask ourselves because this very mundaneness is peace...
